JLS 100% Solar Powered
A full eighteen months after JLS first sat down with a solar contractor and sketched out a roof mounted PV (photo voltaic) solar grid, the system was finally read to go live. As the project heads into its 5th year of operation in 2021, this is a time to reflect back on the impact that such a system has on the community, the energy grid and cost control in general for the JLS business. In the lifetime of the solar panels, JLS has generated a total of 2,726 MWh of power. See image below to see the offset of that amount of power generation.
Additional enhancements are needed to add backup energy storage and emergency power generation. Stay tuned in 2021 for the next generation of JLS’ forward-thinking actions for the future…
